Selecting books accordingly
Today’s high standard of education requires a great deal of Reading & Writing.
There is no easy way to becoming a better reader.
There is no gimmick to reading comprehension. It is just a matter of practice. Reading does not have to be boring.
That is why, at Smart Online Study, we have compiled a list of ideal books for students.
The books range from mysteries, to old-fashioned classics. Each book has been hand-picked by our qualified teachers.
Besides, reading is fun. Where else can you visit Middle America in your pajamas?
The variety is seemingly endless
We, at the SOS Book Club, provide books that are age appropriate.
We wouldn’t want to give Jane Eyre to a third grader.
Each student’s reading style is different and
so is their writing style.
As adults, we often get ridiculed for our creativeness. However,
this is the gift found in children.
Children can write the most
grammatically incorrect essays,
yet they
can also blow your mind away
in terms of their stylistic approach.
We want to foster these talents, which is why we offer a library
of books that will encourage creativity from the students.
Each essay topic is created with a collective effort
Reading and understanding what is being read are two different things.
We provide students with questions and essays to ensure that the students comprehend what they are reading.
This is an essential step in the Reading & Writing process. After all, if all we did was give a book to read, it would just be
called Reading. That is no way to make sure a student understands the material. We put forth much effort in creating
the questions and essays. To finalize the learning process, we included essay(s) at the end of each question packet to
unleash the student’s creativity.
Well organized scores
Well written essays will receive a score of [good] as rated by our teachers.
Our cychers (cyber-teachers) have a grading rubric that scales each essay accordingly in terms
of quality.
Each section or paragraph is graded on an individual basis.
The separate scores are tallied and a final composite score is
given.
This ensures that each grade is fairly deserved.
Detailed correction
Our cychers put forth a great amount of effort in grading each essay.
Furthermore, the process of grading the essay does not only end with the student receiving a score.
No, our cychers also leave comments on the essays, almost as if they were your personal English professors.
They designate your tendencies with appropriate feedback. We believe a grade is just a grade, but learning something
from that A, or B is so much more important. In the end, don’t we all want to improve? |
